Late/Absence Procedures

What do I do if my child arrives after the bell has rung?

If you arrive after the bell has rung please take you child straight to the main office.  A member of the office staff will take your child to class and you may be asked to sign the late registration file, depending on the time that your child comes into school.

It's important that you arrive on time so that your child/children can take part in learning straight away.  Activities start in class at 8.50am

What do I do if my child is ill and they can't attend school?

School attendance is important but children do get ill.  If your child is too unwell to attend school, please call and speak to a member of staff or leave a message as soon as you are able on the child's first day of absence.  If it is likely that your child will be off for longer than a day please let us know.  If we haven't heard from you we will contact you via text.

If you are unsure of how long your child should be off school please contact your local GP for advice.

If you would like any further advice please don't hesitate to contact Julie Lunn (the school nurse) on 01562 514555.
