Key Stage 2 SATs Week 2010
The children in Year 6 will complete their end of key stage SATs during between Monday 10th May 2010 and Friday 14th May 2010.
As stated in the past please do not take holidays in term time during Year 6 and please try to ensure their full attendance during the week of the tests.
We will hold meetings for parents at various points during the year to keep you informed about this year and what we will be doing to support your child.
'BECAUSE IT MATTERS'
As part of our school's developemnt this year I will be working with the children on a project called 'Because It Matters' which is aimed at building personal pride, responsibility and consideration for others.
Please support us with this initiative by encouraging your child to take some, no matter how small, responsibility at home. This will be the first element that we look at in school.
LEARNING PLATFORMS
As a school we will be developing a 'Learning Platform' during the year where children can access work, communicate with eachother and post examples of the work they have been doing in school. We will train a small group of 'ambassador pupils' who will start the process and then they will work with their classmates to expand the site.
As this becomes 'live' we will contact you so that you can have access to the site as it develops.
We are building our website at the moment and put extra pages on regularly so please check each week to see how it develops.
