  • Inspection Reports

We are delighted to be able to share with you a copy of our OFSTED report from the inspection that took place last week, 9th -10th June. As you might be aware, OFSTED launched a new framework in September 2025 and began inspecting from November using a new grading system. OFSTED no longer use one-word judgements for schools but instead use a new report card system.

The link below explains the new report cards and the grading system that is now being used.

New Ofsted report cards and grades: a guide for parents

We are very pleased to have received 6 out of 7 areas graded at the ‘strong standard’ and that all safeguarding requirements have been met. This outcome highlights the continued hard work and dedication of the entire school community.

Our full report is available below and will be published on the official OFSTED website. Please take time to read the report card as there are so many celebrations of our school community.

St Oswald's CE Primary School Ofsted Report Card June 2026

‘Pupils understand the school’s expectations and rise to them well. They treat others with kindness and respect and have a secure understanding of right and wrong.’

‘Personal development is a significant strength of the school. Leaders have created a rich and carefully planned programme that helps pupils develop confidence, resilience and an understanding of the wider world.’

‘Staff know pupils incredibly well and make thoughtful adjustments that help all pupils engage successfully with learning.’

As a Church of England Primary school we are inspected both Ofsted and the Church of England (SIAMS Inspection).

During our most recent SIAMS inspection, inspectors stated:

"The school through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners."
