The School Day

• The school playground is open from 8.35am - children still need to be supervised at this time
• Members of staff are present from 8.35am - most staff are available for a quick chat before but may need to book parents in after school should it be required.  Somebody from the Senior Team is always on the playground in the morning before school.
• The children may enter school on arrival through their allocated entrance, between 8:40- 8:45am.
• The official start time of the school day is 8.45am - anyone arriving after the bell has gone must report via the office.
• First lesson is from 9.00am - 10.00am
• Collective Worship is from 10.10am - 10.25am
• Morning break (all children) is from 10.25am - 10.40am
• Second lesson is from 10.40am - 11.40am
• Third lesson is from 11.40am - 12.15pm
• Lunchtime is from 12.15pm - 1.15pm
• Fourth lesson is from 1.15pm - 2.15pm
• Fifth lesson is from 2.15pm - 3.15pm
• Classes are dismissed after 3.15pm
• Children are collected from the playground or from the path for Year 6

The total time a child is at school in a typical week amounts to 32.5 hours. This includes breaks but not after-school activities.
