Week 1 Home Learning Plan

The Gingerbread Man

 

04.01.21  Good Morning! I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.  I am so sad that I will not get to see all of you back in the classroom but something very exciting has happened whilst you have all been away...scroll down to see who has been visiting our classroom whilst were away! Who is that?  Why are they running?  Where are they running to?

Thankyou all for accessing this week's home learning grid and supporting your child at home!  I will upload w/c11.01.21 soon.  Children in the classroom have loved retelling the repeating story 'The Gingerbread Man', making the gingerbread biscuits and decorating them, and then sequencing baking instructions using ordinal numbers.  We have found out a little bit about bakers in our community and have discovered we all love Greggs! We have not so much enjoyed the rather "sad" ending to the story though, so we may 'tweek' this next week.  Children have also raised the very sensible question 'Why did he not just cross the river?' .  We might explore this a little more next week too...Keep posting on Tapestry so I know what your children have been interested in too!
